How To Mix Our Matcha Powder Using our Japanese Bamboo Whisk

Gather Your Tools:

• Matcha powder
• Bamboo whisk (chasen)
• Matcha bowl 
• Bamboo tea scoop
• Hot water (80°C/176°F—just below boiling)

Sift the Matcha:

• Place 1 tea soop of Organic Matcha Powder By Apotheca into a sifter over your matcha bowl.
• Sifting helps remove any clumps for a smoother, frothier blend.

Add Hot Water:

• Pour about 2 tablespoons of hot water into the bowl. This creates a paste to prevent clumping.
• Gradually add more water (about ½ cup total).

Whisk It Up:

• Hold the bamboo whisk lightly and whisk briskly in an “M” or “W” motion, not circular.
• Whisk until the matcha is frothy and a light layer of foam forms on top.

Enjoy:

• Sip straight from the bowl or pour into a cup. Matcha can be enjoyed pure or with your choice of milk for a matcha latte.

Tip: Clean your bamboo whisk gently under warm water after each use and let it air dry upright to keep it in perfect shape.

How to Prepare Matcha — The Traditional Way

You’ll Need:

• Organic Matcha Powder by Apotheca

• Bamboo Whisk (Chasen)

• Matcha Bowl

• Bamboo Scoop (Chashaku)

• Stainless Steel Strainer

• Hot Water (80°C / 176°F — just below boiling)

Step 1 — Sift the Matcha
Place 1 bamboo scoop of Organic Matcha Powder into your strainer over the matcha bowl.
Sifting removes clumps, ensuring a smooth, frothy texture.

Step 2 — Add Hot Water
Pour in 2 tablespoons of hot water to form a light paste. Gradually add about ½ cup of water in total.

Step 3 — Whisk
Hold the whisk lightly and move it briskly in an “M” or “W” motion.
Whisk until a light, velvety layer of foam appears.

Step 4 — Sip & Savour
Enjoy directly from the bowl or pour into a cup. Matcha may be enjoyed pure or with milk for a latte.

Tip:
After use, rinse your bamboo whisk gently under warm water and allow it to air dry upright to maintain its natural shape.

One Touch Teapot is a smart item perfect for daily use.

Featuring a stainless steel lid with a strainer integrated into it, it can be used with any sized tea leaves. The lid comes with a silicone ring so that it does not drop off when you pour. As there is no strainer inside the pot, the tea leaves can bloom widely inside and make a flavourful tea. 

Simply place the tea leaves into the glass jug, add hot water, put on the lid, allow to steep and then start to pour. 

With minimal parts, it is easy to use and wash.
