Earl ~ Organic Earl Grey Tea

A premium grade, organic orange pekoe black tea leaf imbued with the essential oil* of Bergamot, a Calabrian citrus fruit.

Organic ingredients: Orange pekoe black ceylon tea leaf & Bergamot essential oil. Naturally contains caffeine. Orange pekoe is a classification of black tea based upon the origin of the leaf, the size of the leaf, and its location on the tea plant. Orange pekoe is the most premium grade. 

Steep: 1 teaspoon per cup of freshly boiled water for 3-5 minutes and allow the tea to mature & liberate aroma. Enjoy with milk and sweetness or as is with a slice of lemon.

*The Difference between Essential Oil & Fragrance: We use only pure bergamot essential oil in our Earl Grey, never synthetic fragrance, ensuring a tea that is both authentic in flavour and aligned with a more natural, whole-plant philosophy. Essential oil of bergamot is a natural extract, cold-pressed from the peel of the bergamot citrus fruit. It carries the true aromatic compounds of the plant, offering not only its distinctive bright, floral citrus note but also its subtle therapeutic qualities. Fragrance (or flavouring), on the other hand, is typically a synthetic or highly processed compound designed to mimic aroma.

Tisane vs Tea: A tisane refers to a herbal infusion made from flowers, leaves, roots, seeds, or fruits, and is naturally caffeine-free. Tea, in the traditional sense, refers specifically to preparations made from the leaves of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. This includes white, green, oolong, black teas and everything in between, all of which naturally contain caffeine in varying amounts.
