A delicious, Xmassy spice blend to drink as a warming tisane, refreshing ice tea or a hot mulled wine.
Organic ingredients: Hibiscus flower, Juniper berry, Mandarin & Orange segments, Cinnamon, Clove, Rosehip, Nutmeg, Rose. Caffeine free. No added flavours.
To prepare a warming tisane (or non-alcoholic mulled wine), follow these steps:
- Steep one teaspoon per cup of freshly boiled water for 3-5 minutes, allowing the ingredients to mature and liberate their aroma.
- Enjoy it as is, or for added sweetness (which is how we recommend serving it), you can add honey.
To make a refreshing iced tea, follow these steps:
- In a jug, steep 4 teaspoons of tea in 1 litre of boiling hot water.
- Add 1 tablespoon of honey or your sweetener of choice.
- After 10 minutes, strain the mixture and pour it into another jug.
- Serve with ice, orange slices, and berries.
To prepare hot mulled wine, follow these steps:
- In a pot, steep five teaspoons of spices in 1 liter of red wine.
- Add thin slices of one whole orange or apple, one tablespoon of flaked almonds, two tablespoons of dried currants, and three tablespoons of honey to the pot.
- Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
- Serve the mulled wine hot, accompanied by a slice of Panettone or fruit cake.
- For an elegant touch, add a cinnamon quill or star anise for decoration.
