My Greek Holiday 2 (finding my Ambition)
Nov 15, 2022
Hydra Island - Go for coastal walks along cascading houses and mansions up and down the coastline, sip on freddo espressos or a cocktail or two in one of the many sea cliff cafes and restaurants, jump off rocks into the Med, and come up close and personal to the local dolphins. In the village, you will find winding, narrow paths, lit-up fishing tavernas covered with colourful bougainvilleas, and beautiful shops. This was the home of Leonard Cohen and many other famous poets, writers, and artists.

My Greek Holiday
Oct 19, 2022
I started my holiday with three days in Athens. Usually, just a stopover before going to the islands, but Athens called me to stay. I met some fantastic people, traveled back in time to Antiquity, and immersed myself in ancient mythology and ancient herbal medicine while lingering amongst the plants and ancient ruins. Olive, bitter orange, bay laurel, carob, prickly pear, fig, mulberry, pine, oak, cypress, honeysuckle, dandelion, rosemary, basil, rose geranium, wild sage & thyme, and mountain tea (Sideritis plant genus) became my friends. I was bewitched!

Managing Covid Naturally - Part One
Aug 11, 2022
I eventually got Covid. It was pretty mild - a raspy voice and a general feeling of 'weirdness,' like I was hosting a dinner party for an unwelcome guest. That week I took my clinic back online from the comfort of my home. I missed Heidi (my assistant), but between phone and email, we found our rhythm.

Wonderful Winter Fruit & Vegetables + Recipe
Jun 03, 2022
The temperature has dropped and it's too cold for salads and smoothies. Replace cold foods with warming foods. Start with breakfast - swap smoothies and fruit salad with warming, poached or baked seasonal fruit such as quince, pears, apples, nashi and rhubarb. If you enjoy morning smoothies, add aromatic spices which promote digestion & keep your constitution warm. Cinnamon and ginger work wonderfully well with most fruits & flavours. Swap cold breakfast cereal with a warming breakfast porridge or a protein chia pudding.

Has Naturopathy been hijacked by Wellness?
Mar 30, 2022
Almost as soon as the word ‘wellness’ moved into our collective view, it was hijacked and commodified - so it’s hard to separate out the well-meaning wellness influencers and superfood spruikers from the more sinister aspects of the industry. The word wellness has changed to encompass an industry that is unlike anything we’ve experienced before. If you’re reading this, you’re likely interested in health and may have dabbled in a few wellness trends (I think most of us have at this point!). But everything in this world has a shadow side and wellness is no exception.
