Our organic Matcha Power is sourced from Miyazaki prefecture in Southern Japan.
Palate: Light bodied & mellow, with milky aromas.
Organic ingredient: Japanese Matcha (Camellia sinensis). Culinary grade for a variety of uses - drinking & cooking. Naturally contains caffeine.
Directions: Whisk half - one teaspoon in 100mls of freshly boiled water. Top with more hot water or milk of choice to make a latte. Enjoy hot or cold (simply add ice cubes or cold milk).
How To Mix Our Matcha Powder Using our Japanese Bamboo Whisk
Gather Your Tools:
- Matcha powder
- Bamboo whisk (chasen)
- Matcha bowl (chawan) or small wide bowl
- Sifter (optional)
- Hot water (80°C/176°F—just below boiling)
Sift the Matcha:
Add Hot Water:
- Pour about 2 tablespoons of hot water into the bowl. This creates a paste to prevent clumping.
- Gradually add more water (about ½ cup total).
Whisk It Up:
- Hold the bamboo whisk lightly and whisk briskly in an “M” or “W” motion, not circular.
- Whisk until the matcha is frothy and a light layer of foam forms on top.
Enjoy:
- Sip straight from the bowl or pour into a cup. Matcha can be enjoyed pure or with your choice of milk for a matcha latte.
Tip: Clean your bamboo whisk gently under warm water after each use and let it air dry upright to keep it in perfect shape.
